Time of Meeting gets a new front door
The clocks went back in the US on Sunday. On Monday, Time of Meeting moved some furniture around too.
A calmer header
The top of the page had become a bit of a junk drawer: menu, buttons, switches, all elbowing each other for room. On desktop it's now one tidy row. The logo sits on the left, Planner, Time Conversions and Holidays sit in the middle, and Connect your AI assistant, the 24H switch and the light/dark switch sit on the right.
Add to Calendar and Share moved down next to the Now pill, right above the hours they act on. The little "grab anywhere, or scroll, to move the hours" hint now sits on the row with the day and week buttons, where you actually use it.
On phones, the header uses two short rows instead of one cramped one, and the calendar button now just says "Add" with a calendar icon. Small screens have enough to carry.
A heads-up about daylight saving
The US left summer time on November 1, while Europe made the switch a week earlier. For a few weeks every year that throws off meetings people thought they'd memorised. The city-pair pages (New York to London and friends) now carry a short note saying whether the gap between the two places changed with this switch or stayed the same, so your 9 a.m. call doesn't quietly turn into an 8 a.m. one.
The home page also picked up a short list of popular time zone conversions, for when you just want EST to CET and nothing else.
Fixes you might notice
- No more sideways wiggle. On phones, pair pages could be nudged a little to the side, like a table with one short leg. That's fixed.
- The footer behaves. On very wide screens the copyright line could sit on top of other content. It now gets a row of its own.
- The Live pill is back where it belongs, on the left edge of the first city card.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes
We also submitted Time of Meeting to OpenAI's plugin directory for ChatGPT. It's in review, so no promises yet, but we did our homework. AI assistants that look for a description of what our tool does now find a proper one waiting at the standard address, instead of having to guess.
